Kitchen Manager – St Leonards-On-Sea TN38 0DX

£25,000 a year (+ bens) -  Full-time, Permanent (35-40 hours a week)

We are now recruiting for an experienced, passionate and competent Kitchen Manager to join our team. The kitchen deals with high volumes so consistency and organisation is key with the ability to stay calm under pressure is essential. We will be open to your ideas on how to shape the kitchen team and bring out the best in each chef within your team.

 

Your Kitchen Manager duties will include:

  • Daily kitchen management 

  • Managing the monthly rota and ensuring peak times are always staffed properly

  • Becoming a kitchen legend on pass  / grill

  • Ordering from all suppliers

  • Stock control

  • Ensuring all food safety and hygiene practices are being followed

  • Training new starters

  • Ensuring all food is cooked to perfection

 

 

Requirements

  • Min 2 years experience in a restaurant kitchen supervisory environment

  • Experience managing staff

  • An understanding of the financial aspects of restaurant operations / ordering / GP / stock

  • Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene for supervisors

 

 

  • £25,000 + tips (and tips are serious at HM!HB!)

  • Daily cash tips and monthly card tips

  • 28 days holiday

We are now recruiting for an experienced, passionate and competent Front of House Manager to join our team. 

Front of House is the face of the business. You are the first thing the customer sees as they walk through the door and you are responsible for guiding each customer through their entire experience at HM!HB!  As such we are looking for an organised, friendly team player who prides themselves on ensuring that every customer leaves HMHB with a smile on their face. 

The FOH manager will deal with supervising and co-ordinating the FOH team - from staff training and appraisals to organising workloads and rotas. They will also control the smooth running and high standard of customer experience from at the restaurant. High levels of cleanliness are a must at HMHB and the FOH manager will ensure that strict cleaning schedules as well as opening and closing checks are kept to and recorded.

 

Your FOH manager duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Training new starters

  • Ensuring all food orders are on time, correct and look incredible before serving each customer.

  • Ensuring drinks orders go out on time

  • Co-ordinating of customer deliveries and collections 

  • Cashing up at end of day

  • Ensuring opening and closing checks, as well as daily cleaning schedules, are adhered to.

  • Managing the monthly rota and ensuring peak times are always staffed properly

  • Stock control and ordering for the bar.

  • Control, management and updating where necessary of our EPOS system (Lightspeed), as well as our online ordering system (Orderswift)

  • Ordering from suppliers

  • Stock control

  • Ensuring all food safety and hygiene practices are being followed

 

 

Requirements:

  • Min 2 years experience in a restaurant supervisory environment 

  • Experience managing staff

  • An understanding of the financial aspects of restaurant operations

  • Knowledge of electronic point of sale (EPOS) systems
