RESTAURANT MANAGER — ST LEONARDS-ON-SEA

 

£15/hour + daily cash tips + a significant weekly share of service charge/tronc

We’re looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join the team at Half Man Half Burger in St Leonards-on-Sea.

This is a 26-hour-per-week role, predominantly focused around the weekend, with some weekday evening work.

So if you love hospitality, busy weekends, great food, good music and leading a team, this could be right up your street.

We make seriously good burgers, work with great beer brands and have a loyal crowd of locals and visitors. We’re independent, busy, a little bit different — and we genuinely care about making this a great place to work.

The role

You’ll be one of the key people running the restaurant alongside the owners and senior kitchen staff, helping ensure service is slick, the team is happy and customers leave smiling.

You’ll be:

• Leading and motivating the FOH team

• Running busy services

• Training new and existing staff

• Managing rotas and cover

• Opening/closing and keyholding

• Handling customer issues

• Keeping standards, cleanliness and hospitality high

• Managing stock, cashing up and orders

• Keeping on top of food safety, licensing and H&S

• Managing the EPOS system, delivery platforms and online orders

• Working closely with the owners and management team

 

Who are we looking for?

Hospitality experience is essential. Management or supervisory experience is a big plus.

• Understands what great customer service looks like

You have to LOVE dealing with people, and be excited about busy kitchens with loud music. Gotta be cool in a frantic busy environment, you have to actually love it! We have always paid well, the tips are excellent and the burgers awesome. If you don't already have burger dreams do not apply.
